Spring Me Open: Anoint and Soothe Herbal Box

$115.00

We ponder: how do we nurture ourselves daily during this time of blossoming? What whispers does spring's medicine offer: the cool mornings, the moments of stillness, the unfurling of life all around us? Crafted with care in small batches, these remedies are designed to accompany you through the season of renewal. Consider gifting this box of skin & heart nourishing herbs to a soul in need of tender care this season, or indulge in its offerings as you navigate this next transition.

Every remedy has been prepared by hand from seed to harvest, to finding the most local and beautiful menstrums: honey, alcohol, sunflower oil, and apple cider vinegar. All ingredients aside from the glycerine are local to the Hudson Valley. Our prayer is that the folks who receive this offering feel nourished, inspired, and curious to know their bodies and the land more intimately.

Rue Seeds (Ruta Graveolens)

A hardy perennial, pollinator-attracting, and drought tolerant medicinal herb. Plant Rue near your home for protection or in your garden to keep away pests. Sow Rue seeds indoors about 7 weeks before last frost, lightly pressed into the soil ¼” deep into cells. Keep soil moist and warm. Rue will germinate in 10-14 days. Transplant once they are several inches tall. Rue is a host plant for three different kinds of butterflies: Black Swallowtail, Anise Swallowtail, and the Giant Swallow; they lay their eggs on Rue and then eat their leaves. Two other great plants to have in your garden to host butterflies are Dill and Milkweed.
